The Encyclopaedist
Observer. Compiler. Survivor — if that word still applies.

The Encyclopaedist does not carry the chronology as a conventional protagonist. The role is stranger: to gather what remains after the fact and turn fragments into a history.
That distance gives the archive authority. It also creates a problem. Every record is an interpretation, and the person arranging history may already have been changed by the thing being described.
The name Chronicles of Humanity belongs to that constructed record. Within Silence Resumes Its Duty, the archive is both evidence and artifact: history preserved by a voice that cannot remain entirely outside history.
I observe. I record. I do not interfere.
That rule becomes more complicated the closer the record moves toward its own ending.
