Chronicles of Humanity

The reconstructed record compiled by The Encyclopaedist.

An immense archive hall reconstructed as an in-universe visual artifact
The record

History assembled after the fact.

Within Silence Resumes Its Duty, Chronicles of Humanity is the archive assembled inside the narrative: the surviving record through which humanity is reconstructed.

The Encyclopaedist gathers testimony, fragments, histories and anomalies into a record of a civilisation that understood the pattern only when the pattern had already become its inheritance.

The compiler

The Encyclopaedist

Observer. Recorder. Interpreter. The Encyclopaedist speaks from the far end of the chronology, where history has become archaeology and memory has become evidence.

The archive is not neutral. Its act of preservation is itself part of the story.
